Yep, now they want wealth tax…to take everyone’s money that’s already been taxed and misappropriate it with more incompetent government spending by people who really don’t give a single fck about you. These people can’t even be trusted to distribute stimulus checks appropriately. I believe the goal is to ultimately make everyone equally poor so they can make them reliant on universal basic income as another control mechanism over the people, and once you say or do something they disagree with they can change your social credit score and ‘cancel’ you like the CCP in China. I don’t believe them when they say it’s “just for the ultra rich”, just another tactic to get public approval so it’s slowly rolled out onto everyone. The rich/politicians will probably either be exempt with legal loopholes, or avoid it altogether by hiding their wealth somewhere else, all while it still gets rolled out onto regular people. Point is, they want your wealth and they’ll come for it.

Yes. However realize staking is to regulate supply. High staking means few people are staking ATM… On zil I get crazy returns but only like 35% of the supply staked when I looked last.

Sooo… I used to work for Chase and I quit last summer because I was having so many conversations with people at my desk and telling them to buy bitcoin that my manager had to repeatedly come by and tell me that I couldn’t talk about crypto because it wasn’t regulated. I quit my job, dumped my entire retirement in bitcoin in May and haven’t looked back since.

Read the Gemini fine print on their “Earn” program. Your crypto leaves their custody and goes to the entity it has been loaned to. There is NO GUARANTEE you will ever get it back. Do you really want to give away a whole Bitcoin on the promise that you might make 3% per year?
Absolutely not. And it’s used to leverage trade against you by who they loan it to potentially wrecking you.
I read the same thing. The fine print says they are not responsible if your crypto gets lost by the 3rd party they loan it out too.. “Please take it up with the 3rd party.” Really unsettling and risky. However, it wont be too long before it is insured, but not sure when.
Does this go for Blockfi as well ? They offer 6% apy on BTC ?

Bitcoin will earn a few hundred percent in the next year or so without doing anything. You don’t have to take any risk and you will double your money soon. If you want more than that you are just getting greedy and deserve whatever risk you take loaning it out or letting others hold it for you. A few hundred percent or you might never see it again for 6%. Which makes more sense?

Guys, there is kinds of Aave, compound and more. Which are decentralised. No need for insurance, but if you like you can get decentralised insurance from Nexus (all of these are protocols) I believe they are more secure than centralised entities.
